Saudi Arabia-based renewable energy giant Acwa Power has expressed interest in investing more than $10 billion US dollars in Malaysia over a 10-year period. The plans are to collaborate with several strategic Malaysian partners in developing renewable energy projects across multiple states in Malaysia, to power up green data centers.

This was conveyed by Acwa Power chairman when he paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting in Riyadh on Monday. The renewable energy initiative is in the final stages of discussion and is expected to be finalized by the end of this year.
