Central Committee meeting: MoALI UM addressed the 12th CFMC meeting

The Central Farmland Management Committee held its 12th meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 25th April and attended by the Committee Chairman Union Minister U Min Naung and committee members.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister said that the Central Committee needs to approve the State investment measures and regional development projects without delay in line with the law and by-laws.

The guidance to the State Administration Council: in order to fully and productively utilize the land regarding with the agriculture and livestock breeding as per the region and State, systematic implementation not to leave the vacant lands, the supervisory measures carried out in conformity with the laws and rules regarding with the cultivated lands will facilitate in the commodity production, is needed to be attentive.

Those who have been granted farmland to use other purposes need to implement works done in line with the procedures within 6 months, if not so, the central committee members need to supervise to repeal the permission in line with the Section-31 of Farmland Law by the levels of farmland management committees.

If a farmland kept uncultivated above two year is found out, it needs to be confiscated and allocated to the cultivators by scrutinizing. Such management will facilitate for the development of agricultural production of the country etc.

Next, the Central Committee secretary U Thet Naing Oo reported the case files to be discussed in the meeting and central committee discussed as per the matters and sectors.
