China's national Breakdance Team as Olympic Qualifiers

In January, China announced the national breakdance team of four B-boys and four B-girls to represent the country in the Paris 2024 breakdance competitions.

The competitions will be comprised of two events, men's solo and women's solo in which 16 B-boys and 16 B-girls will go face-to-face in solo battles.Breakdancing originated in New York City in the 1970s.

Breakdancing made Olympic debut at the Youth Olympic Games in 2018 and was chosen to feature in Paris 2024 as a new sport. The team has already proven themselves capable of impressive performances at Olympic-qualifying events, and they are eager to gear up their skills and competitive edge ahead of the Asian Games in Hangzhou coming October.
