COVID-19 Update: 16 new COVID-19 cases reported on December 1

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 16 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 8,322 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 17 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 633,261 with 19,488 deaths and 607,777 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:34 pm CET, 1st December 2022, there have been over 639 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.61 million deaths.
