District Level Rescue Drill: Kachin State Fire Service Department organizes training

Organized by Kachin State Fire Services Department, the District Level Rescue Drill Training was opened on Monday with the aim of mitigating losses and damages in case of natural disasters in the State.

At the event, Kachin State Cheif Minister U Khet Htein Nan said todays, due to climate change, not only Myanmar but also respective countries around the world are facing frequently natural disasters including earthquakes.

He urged all organizations including the fire brigade members to train and learn for enhancing search and rescue skills and performances.

Later, the Chief Minister, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, the State Ministers and the departmental officials observed search and rescue drills in the traffic accident with a Heavy Rescue & Towing Vehicle, extinguishing oil fire and High-rise firefighting and demonstration of search and rescue operation training. 

They then looked into the display of modern search and rescue equipment in the Head-Office of the State Fire Service Department and the State Chief Minister presented cash for fire brigade members.

From there, the Chief Minister and party visited the State Agricultural Department Office and attended the opening ceremony of banana cultivation with the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) training course that would be held for two (2) days for officials from (32) companies registered with the General Administration of Customs China (GACC).

At the training, the Chief Minister said that the tissue banana cultivation and export plays a key role for the border trade and it needs to systematically register in the GACC.

The SOPs are issued for agricultural producers and exporters and departments and he called for following the procedures and regulations of banana cultivation with good agricultural practices.
