The illegal subversive media outlets have been spreading false information regarding a recent security operation in Kan Thit Village, Pakokku Township, Magway Region.

They allege that on 8th May, security forces raided the village, resulting in the murder of two civilians, abduction of 20 others, and the burning of 13 houses. However, a security official has refuted these claims, stating that the operation was conducted in response to intelligence about terrorist activities in the area.

The security forces discovered a temporary camp of PDF terrorists near Kan Thit Village during the operation. An exchange of fire ensued, and as the terrorists retreated, they set fire to houses in the village. The security forces seized two bodies of terrorists, along with five improvised guns and explosive devices from the camp.

The illegal subversive media outlets are spreading fake news with the intention of causing public misunderstanding and diverting attention from the terrorist acts committed by the PDF. This misinformation campaign also seeks to tarnish the image of the security forces.
