Historical bridge in China catches fire and collapses

Wan'an Bridge, the longest wooden arch bridge in China with a history of more than 900 years, caught fire and collapsed in Pingnan County, Fujian province on Saturday night.

The Bridge was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was announced as one of the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2006. A team has been set up in Pingnan County to investigate the cause of the fire.
