Inspection of Paper Mill: MoI UM inspected experimental pulp processing

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited Paper Mill (Yay Ni) in Yay Ni Township of Bago Region in the afternoon on 7th of May, inspected the experimental pulp processing from rice straw with laboratory tube, inspection and maintenance of mini paper mill, pulp blending machine and the stages of pulp processing and heard the clarification of responsible officials regarding with undertakings to produce pulp from rice straw and the stages of pulp processing from rice straw.

Speaking on the inspection, the Union Minister said that the Chairman of State administration Council gave a guideline to produce pulp from rice straw for the income boosting of the rice farmers and creation of job opportunities for the local people.

As there have been experienced personnel in paper making in Paper Mill (Yay Ni), the skills of the personnel should be applied. If the experimental producing pulp from straw is successful, the design of the machine and parts are needed to draw to be able to manufacture pulp making machines for the farmers and MSMEs and the technical transferring is needed to carry out.

And the Union Minister instructed to manufacture and show making paper with mini paper mill with the pulp produced from rice straw, it’s learnt.
