Investment Affairs: Union Minister Makes Inspections In Shan State

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Econmoic Relations U Aung Naing Oo on the 9th of January visited the Shan Yoma Cement Co., Ltd. in Taunggyi of Shan State which produces 1,000 tons of cement a day. There, the Union Minister heard reports on this cement plant operation and plans to expand business, and gave suggestions.

He also viewed around the plant operating under the permission of Myanmar Investment Commission and avocado farm in the plant compound for environmental conservation. Also, the Union Minister visited avocado processing plant in the area, heard reports and viewed around the plant.

He also visited the Unique Lawksawk Mango Public Co., Ltd. in Yutsauk Township area operating under the permission of Myanmar Investment Commission. During the visit, the Union Minister observed mango processing, heard reports on operation, challenges and plans, and held discussions on matters including investment before viewing around the mango processing plant.

On the 10th of January, in Taunggyi, the Union Minister met with industrial entrepreneurs and business persons and stressed the need to cooperate between the entrepreneurs and business persons and the government for business and economic recovery in the post-COVID-19 era. He also explained the Ministry’s efforts for the smooth investment. Also, the Union Minister and the industrial entrepreneurs and business persons discussed challenges, the government’s assistance and suggestions.
