Kishida speech at the US Congress

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio addressed a joint session of the US Congress at Washington DCon Thursday. In his speech, he pledged that Japan will work as the United States’ global partner to maintain international order based on freedom and democracy.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the defense of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law is the national interest of Japan.And, he concluded his speech saying Japan and the US “carry a large responsibility” together and Japan is the United States’ global partner today and will be so in the years ahead.Kishida became the first Japanese leader in about nine years to address a joint meeting of Congress.
