Lviv residents trained in first aid as Russian forces advance

Civilians in the Ukrainian city of Lviv gathered to receive training in first aid by a group of volunteers on Thursday.

According to Lesia Vovk, the Director of Lviv Medical Nursery College who voluntarily coordinated the sessions, between 300 to 400 people was attending daily since the beginning of the conflict.

The training provided by the volunteer instructors included basic CPR and first aid. Civilians were taught life-saving skills such as how to stop bleeding and how to apply a tourniquet.
