Marine product Exports: Exports earnings can be made in Yuan and Baht

Exports earnings from the marine products can be made and pay the taxes in Chinese Yuan and Thai Baht to the state, according to the Department of Fisheries.

From 1st April to 31st December 2022, about 555 million US dollars have been earned from over 3 million tones of marine products exported through the border trade.

Nyunt Win, Director, Department of Fisheries, said " To reduce the depending on the US dollar, we have received instructions to trade in currencies of two countries at the border gate. For traders, exports earnings from the marines products can be made and payment in Chinese Yuan and Thai baht under the instructions of Central Bank and the Ministry of Commerce. We estimated that will be better smooth in trading processes."

In November last year, the Central Bank notified to make in Chinese Yuan and Thai Baht on those export items included various pulses, edible oil crops, corn, rubber, marine products and livestock products.
