Peace Talks: SPTT continues meeting withRCSSpeace delegation

The State Peace Talks Team (SPTT) and the peace delegation of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) continued the second day discussion at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Tawon Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by member of the State Administration Council, Union Minister at the Government Office, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Secretary of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Min Naung and committee member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, RCSS Chairman General Yawd Serk, members of the Executive Committee Sao Saung Han, Sao Um Khe  and peace delegation. The meeting discussed the issues that have not been yet completed at the first day meeting and the proposals from both sides on democracy and federal system.

They also exchanged views on 33 basic principles for Shan State proposed by RCSS and the common agreements on peace and development. The second day meeting adjourned after making discussions and negotiations on the draft agreements. The bilateral agreements will be signed on the 3rd day meeting that will continue on the 26th.
