Powerful Cyclone: Rescue and relief measures provided in timely manner

The extremely sever cyclone Mocha made landfall on Rakhine coasts starting this afternoon.

The powerful cyclone caused damages of public infrastructures and houses. There were fallen trees, collapses of lamp posts and damages of buildings in Ayeyawady, Bago and Yangon Regions due to the strong wind and heavy rain, caused by the Cyclone Mocha.

Since forming of the tropical cyclone in the Bay of Bengal, the authorities have launched a massive emergency plan as it brings strong winds and rain along with the threat of flooding and landslides. The rescue teams provided timely clearing works and relief measures for the convenience of the public.
