Receiving Commercial Attaché: MOHTC UM received commercial attaché of RF embassy

The Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Culture, U Maung Myint, received Mr. Andrei Iunak, Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, in the morning of April 28 at the Union Minister's reception hall, Office No. 33, of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they cordially and openly discussed matters relating to accelerating cooperation between Myanmar and Russia in the tourism and cultural sectors, further implementing the points contained in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries, strengthening collaboration between the government and private sectors in promoting the tourism and cultural sectors, increasing two-way travel between the two countries and human resource development.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with senior officials and subject matter experts from the ministry to ensure systematic implementation of work for the long-term development of hotels and tourism. First, the Deputy Minister, Permanent Secretary, Director-General, and Deputy Directors-General presented the status of their work.

Then, subject matter experts from respective departments presented detailed explanations of the implementation status of their departmental activities, ongoing projects, and future action plans. Based on the presentations and explanations, the Union Minister provided necessary guidance and directives, it’s learnt.
