

Organized by Magway Region Fire Services Department, the district level search and resuce training was opened at the Regional Fire Services Department on Monday.
At the event, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin said that the natural disasters including earthquakes often occur not only in Myanmar but also in the world nations.
The training aims to provide practical course in advanced search and rescue techniques and to learn how to properly handle advanced search and rescue equipment with expertise.
As the search and rescue operation is a duty of the fire brigade, the operations are trained in the respective regions, states, districts and townships to respond natural disasters quickly and minimize the damages.
Later, the Region Chief Minister, the Regional Ministers and departmental officials observed the display of advanced search and resuce equipment and gave necessary instructions.
The training course will be conducted from 3rd to 14th October and members of Auxiliary Fire Brigade members, volunteering organizations and Red Cross Society members, totalling 50 are attending the course.
