Sports Sector: Victory Flag presentation and SepakTakraw Competition

The presentation ceremony of victorious flag to Shan State selection volleyball team, in conjunction with Chief Minister’s Cup U-25 Men and Women SepakTakraw Competition was held at state gymnasium in Taunggyi Township on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung highlighted the purposes of competition to raise Myanmar SepakTakraw sport standard, turn out a new generation of SepakTakraw athletes, gain unity and to emerge the outstanding athletes who can uplift the country’s prestige. He urged the athletes of Shan State selection volleyball team to strive for their best to grab the championship trophy to raise the honor of the State.

After recitation of the sports oath by the SepakTakraw participating teams, the Chief Minister, chief justice of the State High Court,State ministers and officials warmly greeted the SepakTakraw athletes and the Shan State selection volleyball team.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister presented a victory flag to volleyball team and provided cash assistance to Bugle Corp troupe of No. (7) Basic Education High School. Then, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the match between Taunggyi Township team and KengTung Township team. And, Taunggyi Township Team secured victory over rival team with 2-0. The Chief Minister's U-25 Men and Women SepakTakraw Competition is set to be held till 6th May with the participation of35 Men and 13 women teams from 35 townships.
