Syrian government forces display large amount of seized weapons from rebels

Syrian government forces displayed a large amount of weapons and ammunition on Sunday which was seized recently from the rebels and other extremist groups. According to the head of the Combating Terrorism Unit of the Syrian Arab Army, the weapons were found in the southern part of the country.

There are bullets and various types of guns, including PKS and 12.7mm machine guns. The bullets amount to over 200,000, in addition to ammunition for tanks like the T-72. There are also night vision monoculars and America-made weapons like the M16 rifles were also seized. There are also 23mm anti-aircraft cannons and TOW anti-tank missiles. Syrian government forces believe that the large amount and variety of the weapons indicate that multiple countries are still providing military support to the anti-government forces in Syria, with an aim to perpetuate the crisis there.
