Traditional corgi race

Dozens of corgis, their owners and enthusiasts gathered in Vingis Park in Vilnius for a now traditional corgi race.

Although it‘s just the second time this event is happening, the first one (organised in 2020) was a huge success.

In this year's race, the little runners competed in seven weight categories.  Corgis are known not just as the Queen‘s dog but they also are one of the smartest breeds in the world.

That means corgis are easy to teach but they are not very keen to listen. The costumes of the participants were no less important - the best-dressed corgi won the "Audience" prizes.

According to the organizers, owners of the corgis spent several weeks training their pets' agility and looking for creative ideas for the race wardrobe.
