U.N Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Saturday said it was unacceptable for states in possession of nuclear weapons to admit the possibility of nuclear war.
He spoke at the Hiroshima peace memorial at a ceremony to mark the 77th anniversary of the Aug.6 atomic bombing of the city. "The world must never forget what happened here," Guterres said.
Guterres became the first UN chief to attend the annual ceremony since his predecessor Ban Ki Moon attended in 2010.
