Vocational Education: High Schools for Industrial, Agri & Livestock to be opened

Plans are underway to open the High Schools for Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding sectors for those who have passed the middle school level (Grade 9).

The project is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology, and it will be opened at 50 basic education high schools in the townships from 50 districts. A coordination meeting on opening of High Schools for Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding sectors was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Union Ministers U Hla Moe, Dr Nyunt Pe and Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, directors-general and officials. Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe discussed to make suggestions for administrative and assignment of duties, drafting syllabuses, printing text books, appointment of teachers, providing furniture and teaching aid, checking the learning results and budget allotment.

The Union Ministers, the Deputy Ministers and attendees gave suggestions on the administrative matters, designating of subjects, providing teaching aids for related subjects and information to be published in the newspapers.
