Japan's Meteorological Agency said that they are looking into the possibility of tsunami triggered by a volcanic eruption in Indonesia.

Officials said that Mount Ruang in North Sulawesi province erupted on early Tuesday, and that could trigger tsunami. If it generates a tsunami that reaches Japan, it could hit Okinawa Prefecture as early as around 6 a.m. local time.

The volcano previously erupted on 17th April and forcing people living nearby to flee to another island. Officials are observing tidal changes and analyzing satellite images, and urge people to keep updated with the latest information.
