Work coordination meeting: Matters on rehabilitation of Hsi Hseng Township discussed

A work coordination meeting for the rehabilitation of Hsi Hseng Township of Pa’ O Self-Administered Zone was held at Shan State Government office in Taunggyi on Tuesday.

At the meeting, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung stressed the purposes of the meeting and called for the concerted efforts of the relevant officials and organizations in conducting rehabilitation tasks systematically. He also urged the respective state/district/township departments to prepare the lists of losses and damages to submit and to emphasize on demining.

Then, chairman of the Administration Body of the Pa’ O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe and attendees presented reports on current condition of His Hseng Township. Upon reports, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements and concluded the meeting.

On Wednesday morning, the Chief Minister attended the Opening ceremony of Private teacher certificate course (Primary and Lower Secondary levels) at the Taunggyi Education Degree College.

Speaking at the occasion, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung stressed that besides the basic education schools, there are private primary, middle and high schools under the Ministry of Education. Private Teacher Certificate courses are started to open in 2024-2025 Academic Year for the private teachers who do not own Teacher certificates. The courses will be conducted according to the capacity of the respective education degree colleges and the private teachers who want to join the courses must not be involved in any political affairs. The Chief Minister also encouraged the trainees to make exerted efforts to learn about the teaching methods and essential teaching knowledge during the training.

It’s reported that a total of 351 trainees are attending the course at Taunggyi Education Degree College. The course is conducted from 23rd April to 8th May and the examination will be held from 11th to 18th May. The trainees who completed the training will be presented Certificate for Private Teacher (Primary & Lower Secondary Levels).
