World's First Pure Electric Ferry Arrives in Shanghai

The world's first pure electric and zero-emission ferry recently arrived at Chongming Island in Shanghai. The ferry will be officially put into operation at the end of October after commissioning, marking the initial success of Shanghai's promotion of new-energy ships.

The ferry named "New Eco-friendly" has just completed its trial voyage in Hunan. It can carry both cars and passengers, and can accommodate about 165 passengers and 30 private cars at the same time. At present, the ship is in the final adjustment of the ferry port connecting Changxing Island and Hengsha Island, and will serve the ferry port later.

It is planned to be officially put into operation at the end of October. According to reports, the pure electric car-passenger ferry will become a benchmark for the construction of green transportation on Chongming Island, which is the world-class ecological island and provide a new path for exploring the development of new energy ships in inland rivers.
