Apple CEO Tim Cook met with Indonesia'spresident-elect and current Defense Minister Prabowoon Wednesday, as the tech giant explores opportunities to invest in Southeast Asia's largest economy.
The visit coincides with efforts by the Biden administration to strengthen ties with Asian trade partners and enhance their contributions to the global tech supply chain.
Cook traveled to the presidential palace in Jakarta for the meeting with President Widodo, who has been actively promoting the development of Indonesia's tech sector. Cook also visited the Apple Developer Academy located in South Tangerang, Indonesia, during his trip.
