Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 10th, 12th and 13th of January, illegal goods including plastic tube, walkie-talkies, sensor support twistlock-R and detergent as well as timber worth over 330 million Kyats were confiscated on the Myawaddy-Hpa-An-Yangon Road, at the Yangon International Airport and at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint as well as in Taungoo and Thayawaddy districts.  Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
