117th Anniversary: Yangon Zoo will celebrate for three days

The Yangon Zoological Gardens will celebrate its 117th anniversary with many funfair activities from 27th to 29th January this year. During the celebration period, visitors can enjoy many performances and activities including the display of market stalls. 

Yangon Zoological Gardens was established in 1906 which is the oldest zoo in Asia and the second largest zoo in Myanmar. 

Than MyintTun, Warden, Yangon Zoological Gardens, said " The Yangon Zoological Gardens will turn 117th anniversary on 25th January this year. The celebration will be held with many performances such as elephant and horse riding, free photo session with animals, game show, quiz show, stage show and other performances within 3 days. Also we will announce the events schedule on our Facebook page. We’d like invite the people to participate happily in the celebration of Yangon Zoo."

This year anniversary celebration, many special programs will be arranged for three days to attract more visitors to the Yangon Zoological Gardens, it’s learnt.
